As a child, I would record songs from the radio to tape, playing them back line-by-line and hand-writing them on paper, all in an effort to memorize the words. Long before I knew what seed had been planted, my love for lyric was in full bloom.
Carrying that torch, the last decade of my life has been in celebration of that primal draw to language, in the form of copywriter by day and songwriter by night. Fed by a variety of agencies and my own hustle, I’ve spent the sunshine hours branding, concepting, strategizing, writing articles, ads, posts, blurbs and blogs. In the midnight hours, I’ve feverishly crafted and performed my original songs on national stages, proudly billed as a lyric-first songwriter and storyteller. All words, all the time.
Today, I am a Soldier for the Muse. My unique path through entrepreneurship, artistry, marketing roles and strategic content creation has fire-forged me into a seasoned writer with a producer’s lens; wildly creative but ever wrangled by a meticulous attention to detail and a desire to always say simple things in everlasting ways. Don’t whisper softly the things you want loudly to be. — TS
